Dice Roller Guide: Roll d6, d20, and Modifiers
The Dice Roller is a small utility for board games, tabletop RPGs, classroom probability demos, and quick random numbers. It supports multiple dice, common side counts, modifiers, individual results, totals, and a short roll history.
Simple Workflow
- Open Dice Roller.
- Set the number of dice.
- Choose the number of sides, such as d6 or d20.
- Add a modifier if the game rule needs one.
- Click
Rolland read the individual dice plus total.
For example, 2d6 + 3 means roll two six-sided dice, add the two results, then add 3.
Reading the Result
The large total is the final number after modifiers. The individual dice show how that total was reached. The history is useful when a game or classroom activity needs a record of recent rolls.
If you are using dice for a game, follow the game’s dice notation and rounding rules. If you are using dice for probability examples, roll many times before drawing conclusions from the distribution.
Limits
This is a convenience tool, not a cryptographic random generator or gambling system. Use it for play, practice, and lightweight demos.
Try the free Dice Roller for quick d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and d100 rolls.
