These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the game Pixel Rift ("the Game"), a TikTok Mini Game operated by the developer ("we", "us"). By playing the Game you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not play the Game.
1. The Game
Pixel Rift is a free, casual brick-breaker game that runs inside the TikTok app. It offers single-player gameplay only: hand-crafted levels, an endless mode, and a daily challenge. The Game has no accounts, no chat, no user-generated content, and no real-money purchases.
2. Eligibility and the TikTok Platform
The Game is available exclusively through TikTok. Your use of TikTok itself — including any age requirements, account rules, and platform conduct rules — is governed by TikTok's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, which apply in addition to these Terms. We are not affiliated with TikTok beyond publishing the Game on its Mini Game platform.
3. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to play the Game for your own entertainment. You may not:
- Copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Game.
- Use cheats, automation, exploits, or unauthorized third-party tools.
- Use the Game for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
- Misrepresent the Game or its content as your own work.
4. Virtual Items
Coins, stars, upgrades, power-ups, and any other in-game items are virtual gameplay elements with no real-world monetary value. They cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, or exchanged for money or anything of value. We may adjust game balance (including the value, cost, or behavior of virtual items) at any time as part of normal game updates.
5. Game Progress
Your progress is stored locally on your device via TikTok's storage interface (see our Privacy Policy). We do not maintain server-side copies. Progress may be lost if you remove the Game's data, reinstall TikTok, switch devices, or due to platform behavior outside our control. We are not able to restore lost progress.
6. Advertising
The Game shows advertisements served by TikTok's advertising system. We do not control the content of ads. Any interaction between you and an advertiser is solely between you and that advertiser.
7. Intellectual Property
All content of the Game — including code, pixel artwork, game design, level layouts, names, and audio — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
8. Availability and Changes
The Game is provided free of charge. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the Game (in whole or in part) at any time without notice, including changes to levels, modes, items, and balance. We have no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or updates.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data (including game progress), arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the Game. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Game (which is zero, as the Game is free).
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Game at any time if you breach these Terms or abuse the Game or its systems. You may stop using the Game at any time.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continuing to play the Game after a revision takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the mandatory consumer protection law of your place of residence provides otherwise.
