The BMI Formula
Metric: BMI = weight (kg) / height (m)^2
Imperial: BMI = 703 x weight (lb) / height (in)^2
For example, a person weighing 70 kg at 175 cm tall: BMI = 70 / (1.75)^2 = 22.9 (Normal weight).
What BMI Tells You
